# Attio

> Import existing answers from Attio and write the classification back.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Attio sync needs the Starter plan or higher. The 14-day signup trial includes it.

## Connect

1. In Attio, go to **Workspace settings → Developers** and create an access token with **read-write** access to **records** and **object configuration**.
2. In Rumorly, go to **Integrations → Attio** and paste the token. Rumorly checks it right away and shows your workspace name. The token is encrypted at rest.
3. Pick the attribute where you already store the "how did you hear about us?" answer, on People or Companies. Text and select attributes are listed, likely candidates first. You can skip this if you don't store the answer in Attio yet.

Rumorly then imports every record that has an answer and classifies it. New and changed answers are picked up every 5 minutes.

## What Rumorly writes

Rumorly creates three attributes on the object you picked and writes only to them:

| Attribute (title in Attio) | Slug | Type | Contains |
| - | - | - | - |
| Rumorly channel | `rumorly_channel` | Select | The channel, e.g. "AI assistant". Options mirror your channels. |
| Rumorly source | `rumorly_entity` | Text | The named source, e.g. "ChatGPT", or empty. |
| Rumorly answer | `rumorly_raw` | Text | The answer exactly as given. |

Rumorly never edits an attribute it didn't create. When you correct a classification in Rumorly, the change is written back on the next sync.

### See the values in Attio

Attio doesn't add new attributes to existing table views, so the values are there but hidden at first.

**1. Add the columns**

In **People** (or **Companies**), click **+** at the end of the column headers and add **Rumorly channel**, **Rumorly source** and **Rumorly answer**.

**2. Optional: group by channel**

**Group by → Rumorly channel** gives you one column of people per channel.

On a single record, the attributes are in the **Record details** panel; use **Show all attributes** if they're collapsed.

## Disconnect

**Disconnect** stops syncing and deletes Rumorly's copy of the token. Values already written to the `rumorly_*` attributes stay in Attio. Revoke the token in Attio as well if you want it gone there too.

When you [erase a person](/account/privacy), their `rumorly_*` values in Attio are blanked as well.
