# Generic webhooks

> Typeform, Webflow, Framer, Zapier and anything else that can POST.

In **Integrations → Forms**, choose **Generic** and create an endpoint. You get a URL like `https://api.rumorly.io/hooks/forms/…`. Point any form tool or automation at it.

* **Bodies**: JSON and form-encoded (`application/x-www-form-urlencoded`) both work. Nested JSON is flattened, and Typeform's payload is unpacked by question title.
* **Fields**: Rumorly looks for the "how did you hear" answer, an email field, a name field and a `user_id`/`external_id` field. If your field names are unusual, set a mapping on the endpoint (`answer`, `email`, `name`, `external_id` → your field names).
* **Responses**: once the URL's token is valid, the endpoint always answers `2xx`, even when a submission had no answer, so your form tool doesn't retry forever. Unknown tokens get `404`.

```bash Example theme={null}
curl https://api.rumorly.io/hooks/forms/<token> \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{ "email": "marcus@northwind.io", "how_did_you_hear": "my cofounder sent me a link" }'
```

The values above are illustrative.
