# Plans and limits

> What each plan includes, the signup trial and what happens at a limit.

AI classification is included on every plan. Monthly allowances reset on the first day of each calendar month (UTC).

## The signup trial

Every new workspace starts with 14 days of Growth, no card needed. When the trial ends without a subscription, the workspace moves to Free and keeps all its data: answers, classifications, reports and settings. Choose a plan under **Settings → Billing** to get the paid features back.

## At a limit

* **Monthly allowance used up**: new answers are refused with `402` and `"code": "quota_exceeded"` until the next month or an upgrade. Nothing already collected is deleted.
* **Feature not in your plan**: the request is refused with `402` and `"code": "plan_required"`; the body names the `feature` and the cheapest `required_plan`. For example, API keys on Free get this on every `/v1` call except erasure.
